Swanage Steam Railway

Swanage Railway, Station Road, Swanage, United Kingdom

01929 425800

The steam railway in Purbeck links the seaside town of Swanage with the historic village of Corfe Castle. The train journey crosses Purbeck along a rural route on the valley floor and passes Langton Matravers.

The journey by steam train is an event in itself but the railway is an excellent link for reaching the beach from Corfe Castle or the Castle at Corfe Castle from Swanage. It can also be incorporated into a walk or bike ride such as walking long to the Purbeck hills to Corfe Castle and taking the train back to Swanage.
